After breakfast, we will drive from Kathmandu to Manthali/Ramechhap (3-4hours, Altitude: 500m) to catch our early morning flight to Lukla the next day. Note: You can add one day for enter Nepal via Kathmandu and make it 10 days trip.

A short and thrilling flight from Manthali (Flight duration: 15minutes flight) takes you to a mountain airstrip of Lukla, which is also renamed as Tenzing Hillary Airport. Lukla, a small town in the Solukhumbu district is the gateway to Everest. Starting from Lukla to Phakding (Trek duration: 3hours walk), the trail heads towards the northern side along the Dudh Koshi valley. With small settlements in between, the trails offer aesthetic views. Phakding, a small village at an altitude of 2652m marks where we will have our overnight stay, the end of the first day.

Heading north from Phakding along the Dudh koshi river the trails takes you through dense and vibrant forest of Rhododendron. After a small village of Jorsale and with the crossing of western fork of the river starts the steep climb up to Namche bazaar. With a gradual climb, if the weather permits, the majestic summit of Everest looms behind the ridge of Lhotse and Nuptse. Another steep climb for about 300 meters takes you to Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar, the administrative and trading center of the Khumbu region and is a famous village of the Sherpa people. (Trek duration: 5-6hours walk; Altitude: 3500m)

To avoid High altitude sickness, we acclimatize at Namchee Bazaar where we visit the local museum and surrounding villages. Namche host of fancy shops, coffee shops, lodges and tea houses, and is an excellent place to grow used to moving around in the thin air nearly 3500m above sea level.
An alternative trek can be walk to Kunde Hospital set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, Khumjung, where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding snow capped giants and the valleys way down below, or take an hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for splendid views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Mt. Everest.(Trek duration: 3-4hours walk; Altitude: 3500m)

All set and acclimatized, we head towards Thyanbochu and on your way unfolds the first glimpse of Mt. Everest and adjoining Himalayan Mountains including Nuptse, Lhotse and Amadablam. You will traverse upwards through the rhododendrons forest before finally arriving at the spectacular Thyangboche. A customary visit to the Monastery is a must, where you will witness Buddhist monks, observing daily pujas in their sacred praying section. Be advised that you are not allowed to take picture inside there, but you certainty can outside the Monastery. (Trek duration: 5-6hours walk; Altitude: 3865m)

After breakfast in Thyangboche, you will return back to Namche for overnight stay. (Trek duration: 4-5hours walk; Altitude: 3500m)

After breakfast you will follow the rocky terrain, which is mostly a downhill trek alongside the Dudh Kosdhi River crossing several suspension bridges, Monasteries and Sherpa Villages before reaching to Lukla. You will unwind yourself, as it will be your last day on the mountains in the calm and peaceful Lukla. ( Trek duration: 7-8hours walk;Altitude: 2800m)

You will bid farewell to the region and check-in at the Lukla airport to fly back to Ramechhap (Flight duration: 15minutes) and then drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu (Driving distance: 3-4hours). You will be free for the rest of the day.
