Around 2.5 hours’ hiking are needed to reach Taktsang Monastery, the most famous religious relic in Bhutan. It is possible to take a rest at the view terrace, which is located on the half point of the hiking route.

Today, you will take a car ride to Punakha from Thimphu. After arrival in Punakha, you will admire the fertility shrine in Chimi Lhakhang and the highest-standard woodworks in the Punakha Dzong.

You will drive back to Thimphu today. Take a rest in the Royal Botanical Park, well-known for its rhododendron and bird-watching area.

Since you have visited the most popular tourist destination so far, it is time to do something special. In morning, you will transfer to celebrate the Haa Summer Festival, which falls between 12th -14th July, 2024.
Traditional dances, sports, cuisines and clothes are the highlights for the festival. Most Bhutanese people’s ancestors were herders. These highlights are being handed down generation by generation. You will learn more about local herders’ culture and history by celebrating with them.

In morning, you continue the celebration in Haa. In afternoon, you will visit three monasteries with a history of over 1200 years - Juneydrag, Katsho Goempa and Haa Monasteries. There might be also celebration of small scale in these three monasteries.

Today, you will drive back to Paro for a rest. You will go past the Chelela Pass, whose altitude is 3988 meters. If you like, you can ask your driver to stop to take some photos there.
